For goodness sake! I thought the problem was just shortcuts created by VM version 5. (See this report.) But it is not. I get the same error with shorcuts created by the beta.
When is the next beta coming out? Soon, I hope.

Joking aside, there are things going on in parallel (as with any other project), so don't get your hopes down if the fix is not there by b2. There are companies that are trying to get their Sep/2018 updates (a.k.a. 1809) out and they can't get it right...
