Typically processors with AVX2 (Haswell and above) come with BMI2 (Bitfield manipulation instructions).
AVX2 is supported since VirtualBox 5.0,but BMI2 isn't.
Some programs, including Stockfish Chess, use BMI2.
If not difficult, please add support for BMI2 instructions.

If it's not difficult, surely you can do it, test it, and contribute a patch?Technologov wrote:If not difficult, please add support for BMI2 instructions.

Overly aggressive reply - he said IF it isn't difficult then...not, it is not difficult!
Why not just, tell us why it isn't implemented, whether it is diffcult and an eta. j

Re: Feature-request: please add BMI2 CPU instructions
Sorry, there will be no ETA. You will probably understand if you check the list of open issues (for instance checking our bugtracker). Implementing this feature is not just about flipping a bit in CPUID, there is much more work required. A Beta forum is usually not the right place to request feature enhancements.
