Long directory names shown in DOS notation

This is old problem, but let's dig a bit deeper this time.

Long directory names shown in DOS notation on Windows host.
It is not a Qt problem, but a VBox Main problem.

I have this problem on fresh install of "Windows XP Pro SP2 Eng VLK".

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Windows XP
2. Install VirtualBox
3. Start VM
4. look at VBox Log

Regional settings:
English (United States)
Location: United States
Advanced->non-Unicode Languages->English (United States)
TimeZone: (GMT) London
