My host is Kubuntu Jaunty 9.04 64 bit. My guest is Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit. When I try to run 2d games, mostly for testing, the window comes up invisible. I'm not even sure what it thinks is going on. Here is a screenshot: http://webpages.charter.net/jimmlangsto ... window.png.

How I produced this is I opened IE to a page, ran freecell. That tab on the start bar opened "Microsoft Windows" and then nothing. If I try to click on the top/left part of the screen, there is no response. If I move the IE session by selecting the top to the right of the invisible window, it moves and you get what you see there.

I went to the task manager and saw that freecell was indeed running taking a bit of cpu. The same thing happens for the other Microsoft games that come with Vista.

Here is a link to my Vbox.log. http://webpages.charter.net/jimmlangsto ... t/VBox.log

In VirtualBox version 2 I was able to play freecell though extremely slow (no hardware acceleration).
