Does SMP feature requires clean guest installation? If not I will post some bug reports regarding SMP failures. (Host: WIN7x64 Guest: Fedora 11 x64)

A clean installation should be never needed for Linux guests. For Windows guests sometimes but even Windows should detect more than one CPU.
