VBox 3 beta 2 running on Windows Server 2008 R2 RC (7100). Q6600 cpu
Trying to install Windows 7 x64 RC (7100) onto a client VM.
Windows 7 Setup will blue screen inside the VM if more than 1 processor is selected. The error is:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
0x00000050
It does work if only 1 CPU is selected. I will test it under Server 2008 non-r2 later this evening
Update 1:
Windows 7 x64, even under 1 cpu... says "Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware" at the end of setup.

Re: VBox 3 beta 2 - SMP
Well, after a few dozen attempts... I really can't make any x64 Windows VM work on any x64 Windows host with any reasonable usability. All eventually bluescreen on startup, even if they manage to install alright and boot a couple times.
I've tried x64 2008 R2, 2008, Vista. and x64 XP, 2008, Win7 as client VMs. All eventually start failing to load with some sort of memory protection fault and such.
This is with and without SMP, different drive controllers, etc. I can't seem to find a sweet configuration that works.
