Operating System: Windows XP SP3 32bit
after installing I had the Problem that the welcome screen appeared for over 90 seconds. Bootvis showed me the reason. The mrxsmb.sys needed 60 seconds.
Now I deinstalled the virtualbox and everything is o.k.
Maybe my Sophos Firewall blocks something. At version 2.2 Beta 1 my Firewall ask me for en UDP conection, at 2.1 there wasn't any message like this.
Also with the 2.1 I didn't had the start delay, but the hostinterface didn't work.
regards

Re: VirtualBox 2.2 Beta1 and mrxsmb.sys
The only networking connection which is done on startup is the version checker which checks if a newer VBox version is available. You can disable the check in the global settings. However, the GUI should start anyway, even if the connection is blocked.
