Hello,
I am running VirtualBox 6.1.6 on Win 10 host with a Fedora 32 Guest using Gnome on Wayland. Guest tools for 6.1.6 are installed as well. The native resolution of the desktop pc is 1920x1080.
When I configure the VM to use the VMSVGA driver, I am not able to select the correct resolution for full screen usage (1920x1080), there are just many other options available (like 1920x1200). When I select the VBoxSVGA driver the correct resolution is available an it works fine, however VirtualBox tells me I am using the wrong driver for my Linux guest.
Is there anything wrong with the VMSVGA Driver?
Thanks,
Markus

Re: No Resolution 1920x1080 when using VMSVGA driver
Wayland support is not really ready yet:

Re: No Resolution 1920x1080 when using VMSVGA driver
It is the same when I select to start an X.org session upon logon to fedora, resolution 1920x1080 is not available under Gnome using X.org as well. Doesn´t seem to be a Wayland related issue...
