cannot login after installed addtions

I just install ubuntu 6.06 on my vista host. Everything worked fine. But after I installed the additions, I cannot login into ubuntu anymore. It keeps asking me for password and username even i type them in correctly. I think the xserver is restarting everytime i try to login. Can someone help? thanks

The ticket says issue was resolved in SVN 1.5, is that VirtualBox 1.5.0?

I use XP as host, Xubuntu 7.04 as guest and after a fresh HD install from live CD it booted fine, next I installed guest additions and from that point whenever I logged on, it "crashes" and returns to login screen again.

I applied the fix described in the link above and now it works fine!

So does the issue still exist, should this ticket be re-opened?
