Hi,

As happened with upgrade to VirtualBox 6.0.6 VirtualBox guest additions are not working after upgrade to 6.0.8. I am running on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS host and guest is also Ubuntu 18.04. LTS.

Screen resolution offers just to low resolution options. Please see attached file.

Let me say once again that I am happily running same virtual box image for 8 years now with problems occurring only at upgrades to newer version of Virtual Box guest additions. I am just upgrading regularly whatever updates and upgrades ubuntu is offering and VirtualBox is offering. So it is incremental upgrade. From one version to another.

What to do here? Any suggestions appreciated.

After two hours of installing, reinstalling and restarting this is now finally working.

Still, my feeling is, avoid upgrades.

Host: Windows 64 bit
Guest Linux Centos6 64 bit.

6.0.4 works.
6.0.8 breaks the ability to mount a drive on my linux guest back to the host machine. vboxsf device not found.

Backrev to 6.0.4 works. Haven't tried 6.0.6.

Shared folders not working for me.

Bidirectional copy/paste works...
