No network adapters in Linux flavour 'badstore', host-only network

Post by Regina Phalange »

Hi all,

Apologies for posting here if it's not strictly a VB issue but I've spent several hours on this issue and searched forums etc to no avail.

Virtual box version 6.0.4 r128413

Badstore version 1.2.3: htt ps colon slash slash www dot vulnhub dot com slash entry slash badstore-123,41 slash

Host ipconfig /all:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : asdfg

                                       210.55.111.1
   NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled
Guest ifconfig -a:
lo
Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr: 127.0.0.1 Mask 255.0.0.0
....
I'm following along with a book and am attempting to use a host-only connection as prescribed. VB network settings:

Adapter 1:
htt ps colon slash slash i dot imgur dot com slash 8UOSn7m dot png

Adapter 2:
htt ps colon slash slash i dot imgur dot com slash GYjrqsV dot png

Host network manager (adapter tab):
htt ps colon slash slash i dot imgur dot com slash zSHCEMf dot png

Host network manager (DHCP server tab):
htt ps colon slash slash i dot imgur dot com slash jv7iZJG dot png

The OS ISO is only 11MB so I'd really appreciate it if someone else could download (if need be) and let me know what's up!

Thanks a bunch

Can you use the "Upload attachment" tab on a new reply and post the images locally? There are many people who won't go looking at third party sites. Also, if they get deleted from the third party site then this thread loses all context.

If I mount an ubuntu image instead and am given a network adapter, could that conceivably mean an issue with the more obscure linux flavour (badstore) I was using?
