How can I run the Debian 9.6 after correct installation in virtual machine?
I see only black screen.

Re: Debian 9.6 black screen after installation in VirtualBox
We need to see a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run:
- Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe problem / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
- With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
- Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

I'm also having the same issue, black screen with a blinking cursor.
Please see my attachment for the first log.
Thanks!

Re: Debian 9.6 black screen after installation in VirtualBox
Frankcris, I don't see anything unusual in your log. Everything seems fine up to booting from the hard disk:
I don't think there's anything that Virtualbox can do to help this. Try troubleshooting as if this were a real PC that booted up one day with a blinking cursor. You gotta Google this one.
A few efforts to interact, then nothing (meaning that the log was taken while the guest is still running). However there's nothing in the log to show why your guest is just blinking.00:00:07.116123 VMMDev: Guest Log: BIOS: Booting from Hard Disk... 00:00:22.210353 VMMDev: Guest Log: BIOS: KBD: int09h_handler(): scancode & asciicode are zero? 00:00:26.579247 VMMDev: Guest Log: BIOS: KBD: int09h_handler(): scancode & asciicode are zero? 00:00:26.752305 VMMDev: Guest Log: BIOS: KBD: int09h_handler(): scancode & asciicode are zero? 00:01:17.038369 VMMDev: Guest Log: BIOS: KBD: int09h_handler(): scancode & asciicode are zero? 00:01:17.211453 VMMDev: Guest Log: BIOS: KBD: int09h_handler(): scancode & asciicode are zero?

Re: Debian 9.6 black screen after installation in VirtualBox
Sorry for necrobumping.
I am experiencing same problem now.
Solve that problem re-installing grub in rescue mode. Also i re-check the partition sda for grub (/dev/sda). Somehow i made the selection of first option (whole disk). After correct this, black screen's gone.
