Dear all
I'm having some troubles sharing folders between my host machine (Vista) and the VM guest (Ubuntu 7.04).
I can move or copy files within Vista and afterwards access them on the guest OS, but I can't do the opposite.
When trying to copy or move any file into the VM shared folder it shows a "generic error while copying".
As I am a new user in either Virtualbox or Linux maybe I'm missing out something very simple.
The manual says "Currently, Shared Folders are limited to Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Linux 2.4 and 2.6 guests". Is that the reason? Because I using a Vista host? But why can I access from the host and not from the guest?
Thanks
Sharing Folders (Host: Vista - Guest: Ubuntu Feisty Fawn)
There are problems with Win XP as well.
There already is a thread discussing this problem:
