The screen resolution changes with the standbye

Post by Leloup78 »

Bonjour,

I get another issue with Linux Mint XFCE. Following inactivity, screen turns on standby. When XFCE leaves the standby state, the screen resolution change to 800x600. I must type xrandr -s 1600x900 on terminal each time. :?

I suspect a problem from driver because on the enclosed picture it is mentioned " This device does not work".
From me, this is in relation with VirtualBox (5.2.20) and the graphic board (NVIDIA GeForce 660).

How to avoid That? :?:

Regards,

Le loup

You don't need your Nvidia graphics, you don't need the 3rd party drivers, do not mess with them. Remember that your hardware is virtualized. Ignore any hardware warnings, they're not real, they're virtual.

We need to see a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run:
  • Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe error / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
  • With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
  • Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.
