[Invalid] Eclipse CDT on Ubuntu 18.4 guest

Host: windows 10
guest: Ubuntu 18.4.1

problem: Eclipse CDT will break down as soon as you click it. This problem doesnt happen on Ubuntu 16.4.5

And why is this a VirtualBox problem? If it happened on a physical system would you seek help in Ubuntu/Eclipse or Acer/Apple/Dell/HP/Lenovo/etc? What in the seven kingdoms does the "hardware" have to do with anything?
