I've got an ubuntu host and an ubuntu guest.
If I drag a file from the host to the guest then the file ends up in a directory /tmp/VirtualBox\ Dropped\ Files/[date string]
How can I get drag/dropped files to land either on the desktop or the location to which I've dragged them?

Unfortunately that's the behavior of DnD on Linux guests. I don't really know why that is. Avoiding permissions checking? I don't know.
