Essentially, I have a Centos 6.9 x64 guest on a Windows 10 host. The guest OS does not resize dynamically/correctly (it leaves scroll bars which make it difficult to navigate the VM when I'm running numerous other VMs.... they all resize correctly).
I upgraded to VirtualBox 5.2.16, uninstalled the old guest additions, and installed the new ones / rebooted. The problem persists. I have SELinux disabled for some software I'm running, and I notice in my vboxadd-install.log that it says 'chcon: can't apply partial context to unlabeled file '/opt/VBoxGuestAdditions-5.2.16/other/mount.vboxsf'.
I am unsure if that error is related to resizing issues, or a red herring.
Attached ix my VBox.log- i attempted to resize the window a few times and selected/unselected the option pertaining to auto resizing the screen.
Thank you for any help.

Re: Guest OS Fails to Resize
In the VirtualBox manager, what is the setting of File|Preferences|Display|Max Guest Screen Size?
Re: Guest OS Fails to Resize
It is set to Automatic.

Re: Guest OS Fails to Resize
You could try setting it to "None".
What is your native resolution on the selected host display?

Re: Guest OS Fails to Resize
I had the same problem with Oracle Linux 7.5. Installing the additions AGAIN and then restarting resolved the issue.
Re: Guest OS Fails to Resize
Unfortunately, mpack, Setting it to None did not solve the issue.
My native resolution is 1920x1080 on my laptop, and 3840x2160 on my external monitor. Since initially having this problem I have received a new work laptop, and the problem persists.
