RHEL 7.5 blank screen after Guest Addition install (#17877)

Using VirtualBox 5.2.16 r123759 with RHEL 7.5 and after installing the guest additions and rebooting, graphical login just shows blank screen. If I uninstall it, it works fine.
When I install guest additions it installs fine, but rebooting the guest , I do not see desktop login but only blank screen. To resolve it, I need to launch another terminal using CTRL+SHIFT+F1 and go to /opt/VBox* folder and run ./uninstall.sh and everything works fine. Hopefully this gets fixed in future release.
Kernel : 3.10.0-862.9.1.el7.x86_64

Disabling the 3D acceleration makes it work correctly. Not sure if it is a bug or not. For now I am disabling the 3D Acceleration. I have also submitted the bug : https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/17877#
