Crash? What crashes? Host? VirtualBox? Guest? I see several warnings there before VirtualBox is even involved, so maybe it's a guest OS issue? Does this happen with a fresh installation of 18.04? I know it doesn't happen here, neither on other user's installations.

We're going to need a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run:
  • Gathering the necessary information:
    1. Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state).
    2. Observe the error, i.e. try to login and crash.
    3. Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
  • With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
  • Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Ok, I will collecgt Vbox.log as soon as possible
By the way as crash I mean: you reach the login screen, if the login mode is set to "Ubuntu on Xorg", if you attempt to login then you return back to the login page itself after a quick display of black screen. Instead if you try to login in "Unity" mode, you can reach the desktop.
With 3D acceleration disabled Ubuntu on Xorg works also.
I have not tried a fresh Ubuntu 18.04 installation

Ah, that's what you mean "crash". I get it. Yes, I think it's a known issue. I'll try to find the reference...
