Is that an announcement?
Because if it's a "bug" report, it's way too short on information.
We're going to need a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run:

We're going to need a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run:
- Gathering the necessary information:
- Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state).
- Observe the error, i.e. try to go FullScreen mode.
- Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
- With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
- Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

It's a bug not an announcement Log file is attached. After installing guest extensions it won't go to full screen.

Re: Fedora 28 will not go Fullscreen using Virtual Box 5.2.12
1) I think you mean Guest Additions, and 2) my Fedora 28 goes FullScreen with no issues. So something's not right with your setup, let's see if we can find out what...Harley51 wrote:After installing guest extensions it won't go to full screen.
What's "E:\", is it an internal or external HD? If it's external, expect slower, much slower performance mainly during heavy I/O on the guest.00:00:01.622060 File system of 'E:\Fedora Workstation 28\Fedora Workstation 28.vdi' is ntfs
You could afford a 2nd CPU for your guest, it would make things go smoother.00:00:02.178664 CPUM: Physical host cores: 4 00:00:01.663202 NumCPUs <integer> = 0x0000000000000001 (1)
If you're going to be using USB, it would make more sense to change that to USB3, a much better approach. Even if your host doesn't support USB3 in software/hardware.00:00:01.663373 [/Devices/usb-ehci/] (level 2) 00:00:01.663383 [/Devices/usb-ohci/] (level 2)
That's where I think your main problem is; your VRAM is too low. Max it out in the VM settings » Display. And since you're there, your 3D acceleration is disabled. You might want to enable that, it will help the CPU load on the host.00:00:01.663400 VRamSize <integer> = 0x0000000001000000 (16 777 216, 16 MB)
Do you have your mouse set to PS/2? It looks like you do. Try to set it to "USB tablet" from the VM settings » System » Pointing Device.
See if these changes/modifications make things any better... If not, implement them and post a new VBox.log.zip.
