[Solved] openSUSE Tumbleweed crashing during install

Post by Linuxnoob55367 »

I'm trying to install openSUSE Tumbleweed, for some reason it keeps encountering a fatal error during the installation process.

I'm using VirtualBox 5.2.8 r121009.

Host OS is WIndows 10 Home 64 bit
Intel i5-2520M CPU @2.5ghz
4Gb RAM

Guest OS is openSUSE Tumbleweed i586

Log as follows:

Apparently the log is too big.

Here are the last few lines from the log as well as a pic from the install

Please provide a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click it in the GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

You have allocated more RAM to the guest than you have available on your host. I would set the guest RAM to 1GB and increase the VRAM to 64MB or 128MB.

You need to go into the BIOS and enable VT-x. Your Core i5 processor supports it.

Andy,

Well, it looks like I chose my nickname well, might as well add virtual box to that handle lol. It's installing now. Thanks for all your help.
