Hi,
I came across this error
I have centos 7.4
my kernel now is 3.17
Virtual box application works, but starting VM machines prompts this error:
This system is currently not set up to build kernel modules.
Please install the Linux kernel "header" files matching the current kernel
for adding new hardware support to the system.
The distribution packages containing the headers are probably:
kernel-devel kernel-devel-4.15.14-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64
There were problems setting up VirtualBox. To re-start the set-up process

I believe that the error message is clear.eitanweiss wrote:Please install the Linux kernel "header" files matching the current kernel

I tried to? A try is a noble effort indeed and a required first step. The question is: did you succeed to have the headers matching your current kernel installed or no.eitanweiss wrote:I tried to

Re: Virtualbox and Linux kernel "header" error
If your kernel is now 3.17 as per your first post then kernel-devel-4.15.14-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64 doesn't sound like the right thing (or perhaps not the only thing you need) as that sounds like it will install kernel headers for 4.15.14.
