I am new here. Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place or if my question has already been answered.
I am a new user of Virtualbox and I have successfully loaded an ISO of Linux Lite. I am now trying to load a VDI of Linux Lite. I can setup the virtual machine, but when I start it for the first time, I get an error: "normal.mod not found".
My computer is running Windows 10 (up to date) and VirtualBox 5.2.8.
Can anyone help??
TIA,
Pete

Re: Can't Start Linux Lite VDI
Can you clarify what you mean by "loading a VDI"? There is no user operation in VirtualBox that involves loading a VDI. The typical way to get a Linux guest working would be to create a VM, and then install Linux from the ISO you mention, to the (virtual) hard drive.
Also be aware that usage questions or questions about guest OS error messages are best asked on the support forum for that guest OS. Especially in the case of a stripped back Linux with no or minimal GUI or hand holding, which I assume is what is implied by the "lite" name. Perhaps Ubuntu or Mint would be a better choice for your first VM.
