Issues with virt-manager in VirtualBox

Post by yourfriendglenn »

Having an issue with initiating a VM (CentOS7) in virt-manager. I am wondering if this is due to the host running in VirtualBox, and what I am essentially trying to do is run a VM in a VM. It gets stuck after line:

Code: Select all

Kernel panic- not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt
The Host has 2048MB of RAM with 35GB of disk space, and I am allocating 1024MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk space via a storage pool and storage volume. QEMU/KVM is enabled and running.

Per the thread "kernel panic - not syncing fatal exception.", I have already changed the chipset within VB from PIIX3 to ICH9

Correct. That is not supported.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
