Xubuntu 16.04 does not start after installed

Post by UHernandez »

I have VirtualBox-5.2.6-120293 installed on a Windows 10 (host).

First try to pass a VM of Xubuntu 16.04 (guest) that I have running on a Xubuntu 14.04 (host), but when starting the VM, after loading the Grub, the message appears indicating that there is a critical error and that the VM will shut down.

This same VM tests it on a Windows 7 (host), with the same version of VirtualBox and works well.

Then install a VM from Xubuntu 16.04 (guest) from scratch. Create the virtual machine, install the operating system, I made the updates of the case and it worked well. But when I restart the host, I can no longer load the Xubuntu VM and I got the same error message.

I thought the problem was the host, so I passed a Windows XP VM (guest) that I have on a Xubuntu 14.04 (host) to the Windows 10 (host) computer and it worked fine.

I attach the VBox.log file to see if anyone can help me with the solution to this problem.

Address this and the problem will most probably go away. Your i3-6006U certainly supports it.
