Fedora 26.1 Guest in Windows 7 host Video won't go high res
I have installed Fedora 26.1.5 with KDE Plasma 5 onto my Windows 7 environment. The highest resolution it will go to is 1024x768. I have installed the guest additions. How can I troubleshoot this?

Re: Fedora 26.1 Guest in Windows 7 host Video won't go high res
Hi, What version of the Fedora Linux Kernel are you running? From experience there seems to be an issue with 4.12 version of Kernel with X11 1.19, if you look into your /var/log for the install guest addition log, you might see that it fails.
Thanks

To close the books on this, I gave up, installed Linux Mint 18.2, Virtual Box, and Windows in a VM. No problems with the new setup.
