cat: /var/log/vboxadd-install.log: No such file or directory
If you had successfully installed the guest additions that file would have been created and visible. Guest additions are necessary for the screen to auto-resize.

Thanks a lot, but also sorry for confusion, I am installing the guest additions, on a VM which is running in the Remote machine. (lets says ip addr is X), and IP addr of VM is Y.

On machine Y I see,
[root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 6.8 (Final)

So why the guest additions is not getting installed properly on machine Y

I suspect what you are actually doing is installing the guest additions on the host. Or maybe this is a nested guest or something similar. To hard to tell from here. I would setup an ssh to the guest instead of the host and see what you can do.

No ìe not the case.
I login to host with the display enabled.

OnRemotehostshell>virualbox &

The above command on remote host she'll will open the virualbox manager, and I then login to the respective vm.
