CentOS 7 Guest OS not starts after adding 2 vdi
CentOS 7 Guest OS not starts after adding 2 vdi
CentOS 7 Guest OS was installed on MS Windows 10 Host OS (with VirtualBox 5.1.20, RedHat 64-bit type of OS, minimal install, text mode only).
It starts fine after the installation but when I stop it and add the 2nd vdi (from the other CentOS7 installed and configured earlier) in VirtualBox it stopped work.
It shows the full boot progress bar below and that's all. Nothing happens after it.
What to see or to correct?

Re: CentOS 7 Guest OS not starts after adding 2 vdi
Is it VirtualBox failing, or is it the guest OS? Were the two VMs independantly installed, or is one derived from a clone of the other? I assume that both disks are marked as bootable.
Re: CentOS 7 Guest OS not starts after adding 2 vdi
It is the fail (black screen with full finished progress bar) of Guest CentOS 7 boot with 2nd vdi of other CentOS 7.
There was other CentOS 7 taken from the other computer with MS Windows 8 and VirtualBox 5.1.14 installed before. It does not boot on the current MS Win 10 & VB 5.1.20.
The current CentOS 7 was installed locally on MS Windows 10 independently.
Yes, all disks are marked as bootable. The 2nd disk was taken from the other same installation of the CentOS7. I tried to change the 2nd vdi with the other vdi and that's OK. But how to boot with the 2nd vdi that was the bootable in the other CentOS 7 installation?

Re: CentOS 7 Guest OS not starts after adding 2 vdi
I would like to see the log file of the guest that does not boot. Just the vbox.log with no numbers please. Compressed would be nice as well.

The log is truncated. Please make sure that the VM is not still running when you grab a log.
I see that one of the disks is located on drive F. What is drive F? Is this a USB drive? If it is a USB drive, are you attempting to grab ownership of this USB device for the VM, i.e. do you have a USB filter set?

Did you by chance edit this log file before you sent it?
Re: CentOS 7 Guest OS not starts after adding 2 vdi
Now I powered off the CentOS 7 and zipped the VBox.log and attached below.
F disk is the Seagate HDD 500GB disk.

No, it's SATA.

Re: CentOS 7 Guest OS not starts after adding 2 vdi
From the hosts terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use " " if the name has a space in it.
Note if the host is Windows you need to be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe for the command to work.
Also verify that removing the second drive the guest will boot or not and report here.

If I remove the second drive then the Guest boots fine.

Re: CentOS 7 Guest OS not starts after adding 2 vdi
For some reason the centos boot loader is getting confused about the bootable drives. I would try to add the second drive to the second IDE chain on that controller instead of the SATA controller and see if the guest will finally recognise the proper bootable drive.
Re: CentOS 7 Guest OS not starts after adding 2 vdi
I moved the second drive from sata to 2 IDE master. Additional two boot lines appeared for choosing the boot. I tried all 4 lines but it gave nothing.
