I was wondering over two things:
1. What are benefits of installing GA in server without x.org?
2. Does GA affects resolution or other aspects when using x.org through xfvb?

I'll highlight the "titles" of the key features that GAs provide to a guest (from Chapter 4. Guest Additions):bmn wrote:What are benefits of installing GA in server without x.org?
- Mouse pointer integration : I don't think that this is of use in your case.
- Shared folders : I couldn't tell if that maybe of use in your case.
- Better video support : I don't think that this is of use in your case.
- Seamless windows : I don't think that this is of use in your case.
- Generic host/guest communication channels : You could potentially use that if you want to know the some of the properties/state of your guest.
- Time synchronization : Not necessary if you use NTP.
- Shared clipboard : I don't think that there can be a clipboard without X.
- Automated logons (credentials passing) : I couldn't tell if that maybe of use in your case.
I don't know the answer to this one, I'll let someone else handle it.Does GA affects resolution or other aspects when using x.org through xfvb?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

Basically all you get without X is the shared folders, and maybe time sync. All the other features require X.
But I am guessing you want the screen bigger, right? This is a basic Linux configuration and is called framebuffers. See your guest OS for details on how to adjust ( increase ) them.
