Hello
Ubuntu OS won't boot after installation, apparently with a successfull installation, I had. The following message hangs up in the screen when I try to start the vm:
iPXE (http://ipxe.org) C8:00.0 E200 PCI2.10 E200
I installed minimal ubuntu and expert mode.
Host OS: windows 7 32 bit
Ubuntu OS don't boot after installation
Re: Ubuntu OS don't boot after installation
Greetings:
This may be way out in left field, but...
I went to the http://ipxe.org URL shown and that lists itself as 'iPXE is the leading open source network boot firmware.' This would indicate you're trying to perform a network boot!?
I suggest you check your settings, under System/Motherboard - modify your Boot Order to boot from your Hard DIsk.
Neil

Re: Ubuntu OS don't boot after installation
I am haveing the exact same issue just with another linux distro.
iPXE - C8:00.0 E200 PCI2.10 E200
Distro is installed as default as default can be, with the GRUB bootloader.
Network PXE boot IS disabled in the settings.
I have no clue how to get past iPXE-error - any clues?
I do have logs and screenshots, but unfortunately this forum doesnt allow me to attach them, due to limit of chacaters and upload size restrictions.

Re: Ubuntu OS don't boot after installation
Best guess from a non Linux person: you haven't actually installed Ubuntu - or whatever - to a local (virtual) hard disk. You have just been running a live CD which is using some kind of cloud boot feature.
Easy test - eject the CD from the VM.

Re: Ubuntu OS don't boot after installation
Don't think so: but that would definitely invalidate a saved state and force a proper boot.
