Network disconnect issue

Post by Norman Lo »

Hello,

I recently acquired a new laptop and installed VirtualBox on it. I had used VirtualBox on my previous laptop and everything was running great. With this version of VirtualBox (or this laptop), inside the guest OS, the network will disconnect randomly and reconnect right after. I am sure the host connection stay connected since I have a JAVA app running that requires constant network connection. Anyone has any idea how to solve this issue ? Below is the information on my VirtualBox, guest/host OS. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

VirtualBox version: 4.3.22
Host OS: Windows 7 Utlimate
Guest OS: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
Network Setting in VirtualBox: Attached to NAT, Adapter Type: Intel PRO/1000MT Desktop (82540EM), with "Cable Connected" checked.

Things I have tried:
- uninstall and resinstall VirtualBox
- Disable ipv6
- Imported the old OVF installed in my previous laptop.
