Mandriva "Spring" 2007 on VBox.

Post by malai5 »

HI All

JUst a question about installing additions.
I have Mandriva "Spring" 2007 running as guest with XP host on VBox 1.4.
I all runs really well except for the fact that I have not been able to install the additions and get full screen mode, along with the other addition benefits.
The additions load up into the media file ok, and are seen in the shell, but fail to install with the message that I need to install the GNU Compiler for the current kernel, the build files and make files, etc.
I have installed all that it asks for and more, but I still get the same message.
Anyone else here have a clue about this or where I am going wrong???

Oh, by the way, the XP host CPU usage in Mandriva "Spring" 2007 runs about 20 to 30 percent, which is reasonable considering the 100% with other guest OS's.

Cheers
