Lubuntu VM won't display any higher than 1064x768
My host OS is Debian 7.3. I am running VBox version 4.2.16. I would like to obtain full screen resolution of 1366x768.

If they are installed correctly full screen should take up your entire screen. I have versions of Lubuntu from 12.04 through 14.04 and in full screen they resize to fill my screen which is 2560x1440.

Yes thank you mpack. Both host and guest are 64 bit. Disk usage analyzer says I got 580.1 GB free. Partition size for guest using free -m is 970MB with 669MB free. I thought I had made it larger.

you have to actually install the guest additions and not just mount them.

As Loukingjr says: you have the GAs CD currently mounted in the VM, but I see no sign that they were actually installed. The user manual gives detailed instructions for installing the GAs in a Linux Guest.
