PCLinux .93 on VBox

Hi all

Not being the full geek, I couldn't get the latest PCLinux 2007 to run on VBox with additions installed. BUT, the earlier version, .93 Junior and Big Daddy work just fine with the odd problem.
The problem is with installing USB printers.
The automatic system config tool finds the printers but then freezes the windows and the desktop, needing a "hard boot" to start again. However, if the printer is installed via the KDE printer application, as root, it all goes as it should.

What seems to happen is the Hard Drake starts as one is booting the system for the first time and finds the available printer/s and asks if you wish them configured. When you click "yes", (realise that this is not in root mode), it all freezes.

Anyone out there had this problem and used the fix I found???
