When I tried to install archlinux on virtualbox, the arch system turns into sleep or hibernate state frequently, this brings some inconvenience and may interfere pacman to update system package. How to avoid this phenomenon?

I think this is an Arch issue (or whatever DE you have installed) and nothing to do with VBox.

You will want to look at where the screen-saver settings are configured and switch them off.

Thanks Twisted Lucidity, it sounds like a reasonable explanation. :D

Moved to "Linux Guests". Please think about where you post your discussion topics.

Thanks for the aid mpack, I was uncertain about the reason of this problem and which subforum it belongs. I will have it in mind next time. 8)

According to the discussion of archlinux mentioned earlier, it's controlled with setterm.

I'm not sure why new member could not post links, there should be more effective way to prevent spams for clever programmers.

People may need to register for multiple different forums and ask a lot of questions when they enter a new area. Too much restriction may bring unpleasant and inconvenient feeling to them. BTW, I see the "report spam" button under each post and reply. I wonder whether users here would ignore them.

I think you are sure why a new member can't post links, but last I heard the prohibition only affects your first post so I don't know why it's a big deal. If you have better suggestions for the clever programmers then I'm sure they would be glad to hear them - in the appropriate forum of course (Suggestions, "Feedback & Comment" thread).
