Seamless mode for linux guest?

First let me say that VirtualBox is pretty awesome. I had been using CoLinux and VB is faster and just better in every way. Debian worked great, and then I tried Ubuntu for the newer packages and it's pretty astonishing how well it all works. Guest additions installed on the first try.

Question: Is there any way to get seamless mode with a WinXP host and a linux guest? Or are there any plans to implement this? I realize I could use an X server in windows and connect to the guest via XDMCP to get a seamless mode wannabe, but if possible I would like to avoid that workaround.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Umm... the X protocol already accomplishes this, as you noticed. Get Xmingw, and you can even have a rootless server on Windows.

Well, there already was a solution for Linux host and Windows guest setups. Its just that using seamless mode made it a lot easier to setup.

Likewise with getting it working for the other way around. I will be quite pleased when it comes around.
