Pinguy OS 10.10 no longer works in virtualbox 4

seems that in virtual box 3.x it worked fine. I just updated to 4, and its not booting at all for me. after grub, it would give me a white screen and hang there. I went to do a fresh install of pinguy into a new virtual machine, but after it booted, it also went into a white screen and was hanging there.
