Installation process of openSuSE 10.3 freezes

Hi everybody,

I have tried to install openSuSE 10.3 in VirtualBox 1.5.2 running on a Windows XP Prof system. The installation process freezes at ~ 97% while creating the filesystem for /. The task manager shows 100% usage of cpu time. I tried the installation after deselecting ACPI and IO ACPI in the properties of the virtual machine. I tried safe setttings and no ACPI for the linux kernel. No success. The DVD I'm using is OK. I installed the software on another computer running VMWare without any problems.
Did anyone had success installing openSuSE 10.3? Does someone has an idea what I can try?

Hi,

I had the same problem, I solved with a custom partition (the suggested partition did not work for me). Then select the option to format the partition when you are customizing each one.
