This is a Chome OS Issue, not Virtualbox.
I found a solution on:
http://eschuch.blogspot.com/2009/11/res ... albox.html <PT-BR
http://bit.ly/7uuKq9 < Google transator of the above site.
It resolve the network problem and the offline login, but I used a build that I knew the user/pass that was compiled the ChromOS.

Hi,Sasquatch wrote:If you want people to test your build, it would be useful if you also give a password for root, if one is set, in case they need it.
My 22Nov2009-0704hrs build of Google Chrome OS has been verified not to work due to bugs.
The latest working build is 24Nov2009-0528. You may want to download it. Please refer to the following link:

Re: Chromium OS - "Network not connected and offline login fail"
I am told using Bridged Networking and the Intel 1000 MT Desktop emulated network adapter may help solve network issues. I'm gonna try it with some of the different Chromium OS images I have acquired (I have like 6 or 7 now).
[Edit: Doesn't seem to solve my particular problem (still sits at a blank screen after "logging in") but I'll let it sit and see if it does anything.]

Re: Chromium OS - "Network not connected and offline login fail"
Well I figured out my problem, other VM software was also causing the problem and I found out how to break into the terminal the dump the log files. It seems to be a bug in Chromium OS so I filed a bug report with those guys.

Basically looks like the browser is repeatedly crashing and restarting when it starts up...

Re: Chromium OS - "Network not connected and offline login f
I know this is a really old thread now bot for those still looking for an answer to the networking issue (as it still exists) it's simple.
Go to your VM settings, open the "Network" tab and drop down the "Advanced" options for the network adapter.
Set your "Adapter Type" to Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop (82540EM)
Done.
Cheers.
