Post by mad68 »

After of install Ubuntu 7 in the virtual machine and to verify that it works well, install de Virtual Box Guest Additions and all process be correct, I reestart the VBox Machine.

is very good The mouse function, but what it does not work he is the automatic tuning as large as the window.

Somebody knows like solving it?

If what you mean is that VBox doesn't start up the GUI window to fit the resolution you've defined for X, I just discovered that myself. I have a custom video configuration for 2048x768. VBox still starts up the graphics window in 1024x768. Every time, I need to manually resize it. I don't see a setting for this anywhere.

If this is not what you mean. please try to restate your issue.

I have the same problem.

I installed Ubuntu 7.04 and got everything working fine.

( Windows XP pro as host, Ubuntu 7.04 as guest, VBOX 1.4)

Ubuntu starts up with 1680x1050 resolution. (max resolution monitor)

When I try to auto resize the virtualbox window (where ubuntu is in) , Ubuntu maintains the 1680x1050 resolution. I get then the scroll bar to move around.

But if I use a windows-XP guest and resize the vbox window (where XP is in), the resolution of the windows-XP guest is then auto adjusted.

So XP guest readjusts perfectly but the Ubuntu guest doesnt.
Anyone know if this is normal ?

Thanks
