X Forwarding SSH Fails Within Minutes

Post by Game_Ender »

I am running Ubuntu 5.04 on an Ubuntu 7.04 host. I have used NAT port forwarding to make port 9000 forward to port 22 on the guest. If connect directly to the guest through "localhost" everything seems to work fine. If I connect by going out through my router (which forwards lets port 9000 into the host, which in turns sends it on to the guess) every graphical application I open will freeze within seconds. The same thing happens if I attempt to connect through my laptop (which is still on the same router as the Host).

If I don't open any graphical windows the connection appears to be fine. I can send over does of data (just running the find command over and over) through normal SSH use. Does anyone have any ideas?
