Mouse problem with PCLinuxOS

I installed PCLinuxOS as guest in XP Home SP2, using VirtualBox 1.4.0.
After installing LinuxGuestAdditions, my mouse became totally erratic and almost impossible to use, even if I disable mouse integration.
If I don,t install guest additions, mouse works just fine but in that case virtual screen/ monitor size is very small that I don,t like.
I want to install guest additions for monitor/ graphics/ resolution etc but not for mouse. Is it possible?

BTW I even tried to edit my xorg.conf and changed mouse driver to "mouse" from "vboxmouse"( it was way too hard as mouse was not working at all) but after reboot my cursor disapeared altogether, so it did not work.

Any suggestions please?

Although I did it in different way. I logged in as root, opened xorg.conf ( in /etc directory) via kwrite, edited, closed and saved xorg.conf and rebooted. Mouse is Ok now.
