drm:drm_atomic_helper_wait_for_dependencies [drm_kms_helper]] *ERROR* [PLANE:34:plane-0] flip_done timed out
Ever since I updated my VirtualBox from version 6 to Version the current version 7.0. I've been having a lot of issues with all of my Linux VMs.
These errors are different and random. I was running one VM for a few days now and I got the error message shown above,
Usually when this happens I lose ssh connectivity and the VM machine freezes.
I have tried increasing CPU and memory to one machine to see if it resolves the issue but running just one machine still gives me errors and freezes.
I also read somewhere that uninstalling Version 6 completely and installing Version 7 may resolve the issue. I tried that and it seems to have resolve most of the issues. Like the VM's can now stay up longer before terminating ssh and freezing.
But the VM will eventually freeze and terminate ssh and the i have to do a hard reboot.
I've attached the vbox.log and dmesg output from this particular guest.
Any help would be appreciated.
My VM's are showing weird errors and freezing after updating to Ver7.0

Re: My VM's are showing weird errors and freezing after updating to Ver7.0
Host Hyper-V is enabled. Try 2 processors, then try disabling Hyper-V HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active)
A side point: That's rather a house of cards a lot of snapshots. Keep a good backup copy of that fully-shut-down-not-save-stated VM's folder, and if you find you don't ever restore those snapshots, after the backup copy, consider deleting some of them.

If Anyone should also find areas in which I can tune my VirtualBox installation and make it more efficient please let me know.
After taking a look at my Vbox.log file. I came across this line:
00:00:03.452554 NEM: Disable Hyper-V if you need X2APIC for your guests!
00:00:03.452691 NEM:
00:00:03.452692 NEM: NEMR3Init: Snail execution mode is active!
00:00:03.452692 NEM: Note! VirtualBox is not able to run at its full potential in this execution mode.
00:00:03.452692 NEM: To see VirtualBox run at max speed you need to disable all Windows features
00:00:03.452692 NEM: making use of Hyper-V. That is a moving target, so google how and carefully
00:00:03.452692 NEM: consider the consequences of disabling these features.
I know I disable Hyper-V before but when I checked the VM guest window's Status Bar the green turtle.
mpack mentioned an article in viewtopic.php?t=108412
So I followed the recommendation given by scottgus1 in that article
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=99390
Now the green turtle is gone and I have virtualization icon V now.
Let's see if this fixes my issues. If Anyone should also find areas in which I can tune my VirtualBox installation and make it more efficient please let me know.
I hope it also helps some one.
Thank guys!

Re: My VM's are showing weird errors and freezing after updating to Ver7.0
Issue resolved.
After that I ran into Guru Meditation
Make sure to select the checkbox in
System --> Processor --> Enable Nested VT-x/AMD-V
Next --> Acceleration --> Enable Nested Paging

I found your suggestion in another post. That fixed the issue.

FWIW, you should go with the default settings, which have Nested Paging enabled and Nested VT-x/AMD-V disabled.
