Occasional crash of HA VM

Post by sbylemans »

Hey all,

Running Home Assistant OS in a VM for a while now. It's been crashing regularly. I tried some changes (disable USB, disable Audio, changed OS from Ubuntu to Linux) and the crashing happens less frequent but still every month or so.
I've included the logs of the last crash. Could anyone pinpoint the issue?

Thanks a lot!

We don't have much use for partial logs. Make sure the VM is fully closed down, zip the complete log, then attach the zip.

@mpack I'm not familiar with troubleshooting, what do you mean with the complete log?

VBox.log, VBox.log.1, VBox.log.2 and VBox.log.3, is that what you mean?
Sorry for my inexperience.

The log attached above is incomplete, it looks like it was grabbed when VirtualBox was still running. The only time you can assume that VirtualBox is finished writing to the log is after it has closed down.

Therefore as I said above: make sure the VM is fully closed down, then zip up the log (VBox.log only), and attach the zip to a post here.
