I'm not sure where to post this, so apologies if this was the wrong place.
I'm new to linux and VMs. I got my windows 10 VM up and running but I can't get it to fit the screen when I full screen it. It stays in a 1:1 aspect ratio no matter what I set the resolution to. I've tried downloading the guest images and what not to now avail. In view I can't change the resolution under virtual screen 1 and auto-resize guest display is greyed out. How can I fix this so I can have the VM actually at 16:9 or 1920x1080 or similar.

Re: Getting my VM to fit the whole screen
This looks to me like the Guest Additions weren't installed correctly. They can be a bit tricky in Linux. Please see https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04. ... ions-linux and https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch02. ... nux-prereq. Also, watch the terminal installation report when running the GAs installer. Error messages will show if the install ran into a problem.
