Why does scaling work with KDE, but not TWM

Post by decuser »

Long time virtualbox user, first time twm on virtualbox user.

So, I'm running Slackware 15 64, fully up to date. I've installed the userspace side of guest additions and with KDE, it's working great. I can resize willy-nilly and it just does its thing. But, when I switch to good old twm, it only does a fixed resolution (1024x768, if I had to guess) and refuses to dynamically resize.

I figure this is expected behavior (even if I didn't expect it). So, what's up and is there a way to bump my resolution in the twm environment for virtualbox?

Thanks!

Will
