Hello,
After increasing virtual disk size, my Ubuntu guest keeps restarting when trying to log in. Attached the log file.

I don't know if this is your problem, but you can overallocate resources and expect stability. Your host has 8GB free and 4 CPU cores. So a fair share for your VM would be 4096MB RAM and 2 CPU cores.
16MB is not enough graphics RAM. Increase to 128MB. I notice that 3D acceleration is not enabled, which will limit performance. But I wouldn't do anything about that until the existing problems are confirmed fixed.
Let's see where that takes us.

Thanks for the answer, I think that the Display memory size did the trick. After 2 restarts, the VM is alive again.

Thanks for reporting back. However, if you want stability then all of the changes I mentioned are required.
