Enable right-click paste in Oracle Linux 8

Post by pdelgado »

I just installed VirtualBox 7 and created and installed a virtual machine with Oracle Linux 8. The host has Windows 10.

I have searched all the options but I can't seem to enable the right mouse button on the guest machine to paste the contents of the host machine's clipboard.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure I understand the question. If you mean you want to enable the shared clipboard, then install the Guest Additions and enable that feature in the VM settings.

Whether a right mouse click leads to a paste option is entirely a matter for the guest OS. VirtualBox doesn't determine guest OS UIs.

Guest Additions has prerequisites for installing in Linux, see https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04. ... ions-linux and https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch02. ... nux-prereq

Looks like you need to run these first, based on "Kernel headers not found for target kernel".
