Unable to have multiple guests open at the same time

Post by DC7070 »

Hi,

I'm presently running VirtualBox 6.1.34 on Ubuntu 20.04.04 LTS. My guest virtual machines are setup with the same OS as the host. Presently, all my virtual machines work perfectly fine on their own. Unfortunately, the moment I try to run more then one virtual machine, they start to abort on their own.

For example, I have Guest 1 running and I decide to run Guest 2 along side it. I start Guest 2 without any issues but the moment I log in to Guest 2, Guest 1 aborts. To my understanding I should be able to run multiple virtual machines at the same time. I'm still new to Linux and VirtualBox, so I have no clue as to why this may be happening.

Would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Could be lots of things. First of all, what are your host's system specs (inxi -f)? What resources have you given your guests?
