Can not install ubuntu server

hello

i am running ubuntu 20.04 and latest virtualbox and trying to install ubuntu 20.04 server in vm

every time i try to install it freezes my laptop and then virtualbox crashes.

mod edit - delete partial pasted log.

Please provide a VM log file. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

Try updating VirtualBox to 6.1.36. Also reduce VM RAM to 2048MB, since your 8GB host really can't afford to give 4GB to a VM.

Also the log was truncated, meaning you probably did not fully close down the VM as instructed.

thanks. i will try.

I didnt get a chance to shut down the VM gracefully as it froze and aborted itself.
